Wood Finisher/ Sprayer (full-time)

The ideal candidate:

Has worked with applying finishes for at least one year — training provided.

Has a working knowledge of formula and applied finish. Has a working knowledge of spray equipment and applied coatings.

Has working knowledge of equipment maintenance. (conventional gun breakdown) (airless gun breakdown) Has the ability to be organized with orders and record keeping.                              

     Work hours: Monday through Friday from 8 am – 4:30 pm



Laminate Worker

Sims Superior Seating is seeking an experienced laminate worker OR one that is trainable for the position that can thrive in a furniture manufacturing setting. Duties include but are not limited to filing, gluing, building and figuring laminate requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Using power and hand tools, apply and install batting, foam, poly-filler and cut fabric to the wooden framework in the assembly of hand-crafted furniture
  • Attach finishes, including buttons, trim, and other decorative accessories, to complete orders according to specifications
  • Measure and cut fabric or leather pieces with the aid of patterns or stencils and industrial cutting tools to precise sizes and dimensions
  • Operate portable hand-sewing equipment, nail guns, hobnail and tack hammers, hot-knife cutters and other industrial equipment

Job Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to stand, walk and move for up to eight hours per day
  • Previous experience with upholstery or furniture manufacturing
  • Must pass drug test

Work hours Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
